When accelerating processes, do banks ask for offer letter?
I recently received an exploding offer that I'm hoping to leverage to accelerate the interview process at another bank. Is it possible/likely that this other bank would request my official offer letter to confirm? Reason I'm asking is that HR from the firm I got an offer at told me it will take around a week to draft the letter, and I don't want to look like I'm lying if the bank I want to accelerate interviews with asks for it
bump
Not in my experience doing this, I just told my contacts at the bank and they believed me.
I wouldn’t accept any job without a letter. Could blow up in your face, so be careful.
No, I don’t believe so.
General practice, don’t share (1) Name of Bank you received offer from, (2) Offer Letter, to any banks you’re intending to accelerate the interview/offer process for, UNLESS they ask.
Best of luck!
Echo commennt above about getting the offer letter first as you don’t have shit until you get the official offer letter
“The bank has asked that any correspondence I have with them be kept confidential, so I am unable to provide the offer letter to you”
There you go.
My bank does ask and won't accelerate without an offer letter (+ we decline to accelerate in vast majority of cases, it's not easy to scramble a superday together)
If you do it I'd say you have the verbal offer and the offer letter is coming within the week, so if you could interview in that timeframe it would be appreciated.
must not be a top firm prob
