When do I tell my staffer I am quitting?
My 1-year mark is coming up EOY / December. I plan to join a startup right after / the new year. Will giving my 2-weeks mid-December, before bonuses, impact my bonus? Should I be waiting until my bonus clears to give my 2 weeks? What is the best way to leave this job unscuffed? Also, is there any advantage in letting the staffer know I do not plan to stay past the 1-year mark early on (e.g. November)?
Absolutely do not tell them until the bonus is cleared in your account (not when its announced, not when its pending, only when fully cleared).
