When to lateral from ER to M&A
A brief background, I graduated from a top target with good grades and am currently working in top BB ER.
I really, really like the people I work with, but M&A is what I want to do (realisation during internship but it was too late).
My question is - when is too early to lateral to m&a at a different bank? I've been working for 4 months, but I know M&A is what I want to do because of superior exit opps and transaction experience. And how should I go about doing this? I have a couple of contacts at other banks, but don't have a spider web of networks.
