Which bank has the worst culture on the street?
I’d like to challenge myself and work for the bank that has the worst culture / hours. Which one has the worst culture?

I think I speak for all of WSO when I say that we would also like you to work for the bank with the worst culture.
Based on wso sounds like UBS is going through it. Very tribal with the UBS tribe, CS tribe and Barclays tribe on year 2 of the battles for power
Still not even close to the worst culture on the street tho
Guggenheim
Very team dependent. I’m at a toxic/sweaty group what most would call a life style bank
HSBC?
RBC real estate, BMO M&M, BMO Chicago LevFin, Jefferies Houston, RBC P&U, Moelis Energy Houston, Scotiabank P&U (Canadian Senior causes people to rage quit, figuratively rage quit)
Is this accurate? Some of this I've heard (BMO M&M, RBC P&U) but Moelis Houston I've heard is chill and Scotia P&U is just sweaty...I haven't heard that it's especially bad.
Scotia P&U is quite bad in the Canadian office because you’re working NYC hours for Canadian pay. Now you may say that’s just the consequence of working in Canada, but if you do a quick LinkedIn search you’ll see that people have been rage quitting. Heard stories of people rage quitting without a job just to get out, and people leaving because the Canadian senior is unbearable even in IB standards.
I may have to retract moelis houston, I just heard that they were bad deal flow wise.
Most of Citi
Most of RBC
RBC Calgary, do PUI if you can’t work in Canada.
There's a reason Moelis has its reputation.
UBS
......
Long hours don't necessarily translate into bad culture. LAZ/MOE have long hours but much better culture than Cantor or Ducera though GS FIG and Industrials are shit for both. Jefferies overall has shitty culture, as well as some Will Blair groups. Generally, DB/Nomura/Mizuho have good culture, not to mention PJT/CVP/EVR as well. Some variance among Citi and RBC. Baird generally chill. MS generally chill (fratty) other than FIG/M&A. Culture is also partially subjective as well.
First time I've ever seen anyone say something positive about DB
People are nice and this is very important for long career
I never hear people complain about DB's culture, maybe occasionally. It's a great bank to start your career as an analyst. I don't know why people paint or trash DB as a garbage can.
I heard Ducera has a great culture, specifically for their NY office. They do work a lot, though.
BMO Metals & Mining
Jefferies. In particular M&A.
Baird Industrials
