Which Master’s would you choose for Investment Banking?

Got into the Vanderbilt MSF and into LSE Finance and Economics.

What do you guys think? I would prefer New York (wouldn’t mind London but am more US focused).

Would I be making a mistake by passing on LSE?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Vanderbilt's MSF program is highly regarded for Investment Banking (IB) placements, particularly in the U.S. It has a strong track record of placing graduates into IB roles, especially in regions like New York. If your primary focus is the U.S., Vanderbilt MSF aligns well with your goals.

On the other hand, LSE's Finance and Economics program is globally prestigious and offers excellent opportunities, particularly in London and Europe. However, if you're more U.S.-focused, LSE might not provide the same level of direct access to New York IB roles as Vanderbilt.

Choosing Vanderbilt MSF would not be a mistake if your priority is breaking into IB in the U.S., especially in New York. However, if you value the global brand and are open to opportunities in London or Europe, LSE could be worth considering.
