Depends on size of the company.
$450M+ EV = B4 (usually EY or PwC)
$450M EV = Regional firm like GT, BDO, RSM, Moss Adams, etc
I don't see a lot of A&M QoEs but I do know their TAG practice is well respected (and pays a lot btw). When I was in the QoE world, A&M typically did MM to LMM deals where the B4 got the vast majority of the UMM+ deals.
At the end of the day it just depends on the other workstreams. Sponsor has an existing relationship with EY-P or KPMG for market studies, then we'll likely go with them for the QoE+MS discounted price.
Friend told me that Moelis was doing QoE for one of the deals he was working on where Moelis wasn’t an advisor - do banks do this often?
