Why are nyc food delivery guys so short?

Not at all hating on short people as I myself an vertically challenged, but why does it seem like every singe food delivery guy in this city is 5'2"? Always thought it was such an interesting and random correlation

I vaguely remember reading that somewhere. Taller people have more confidence, are more likely to be a CEO or something, and have a halo effect on them so their income is higher. And like someone said, many are Latino immigrants, and Latinos are shorter.

They are almost all El Salvadoran migrants making less than minimum wage before tips. They typically live in bunkrooms deep in Queens, sleep in shifts on shared beds, send most of their earnings home to their families living in even more disparate poverty (and plagued by gang violence and political strife) and get hit by cars and trucks at an astounding rate to deliver your $35 expensed seamless meal, rain or shine, which you probably still tip poorly on.

Also, the average male height in El Savador is like 5'6. Show some self-awareness and critical thinking skills...
