Will resume only matter in granting interviews?

I have a mediocre GPA (3.2) from a target undergrad b-school (michigan, uva, tx). I think I can compensate in interviews, but obviously need to get them first. Once I do get an interview, does the resume still weigh so heavily?

Also, if both my major and my cumulative gpa's are 3.2, should I list them both? (I don't want to list one and have reviewers think the other must be lower).

patekphilippedon't list the gpa. but, include at least like 8-10 lines about how much of a frat star you have been for the past 3 years.

Don't worry. That's all in the cover letter.

Your resume will weigh heavily because it is the primary source of information the interviewer has on you. If you don't list your GPA, it is a red flag that it is probably low. Better to keep it on then not because usually no GPA means your resume will probably be thrown out.

if his resume is unique enough and can make people laugh, it will not be thrown out.

i disagree, i think you should list it. like guyjer said it will raise red flags. and don't bother repeating your major and cumulative gpa

Of course resume matters after you have received an interview. You MUST know how to walk through your resume otherwise forget about ibanking period.

You list your GPA, if it is above the GPA cut off for the company you are applying for. For most BBs that would be 3.5 minimum.
