Would CFA help to go from MM to BB
I am currently a senior who is about to graduate and join as an analyst at a MM bank (WB, HL, Baird, etc.). I want to eventually land a job at a bulge bracket, and I am taking a much lighter load this semester, so I have a lot of free time on my hands.
Would it be worth my time (and money) to pursue a CFA to help me look better for the lateral (I would be taking the test in August), or should I just network hard and hope I land a spot that way?
Nobody cares about this certification in IB unless you are some regional banker.
No no no. I'm saying this as someone who has it. It is an extreme waste of time for bankers. The content isn't relevant, and bankers don't really know / care how hard it is.
