I wouldn’t renege on a PE offer because it can haunt you in the future. Very small world.
If you want to do RX/M&A, having your PE experience would incrementally make it easier to a top BB. Although, the story of your career trajectory wouldn’t make sense: jumping from buyside to sellside. But…you are still in college so these internships won’t even carry weight once you’re 3 years out of college.
