Accept unwanted superday?

I am interviewing with a BB bank for FT. I was offered a superday but not for the location and group that I truly want. According to the recruiter, the group that I want to be with has already acquired all of its FT analysts through early recruiting and and summer intern conversions. He went on to say that I can reject my invitation for a superday so that my candidacy for my desired group will be held until an opening is available. However, it is not a guarantee that there will be an open spot in the group that I want in the upcoming months.

What is the likelihood that a group expands its capacity in terms of FT analyst? If a candidate is highly coveted by a senior manager, can exceptions be made?

Any tips on what I should do given my situation would be appreciated.

DibbsYou're dumb. If you don't want the job, you should of never applied. you waste everybody's time.

you "should of" taken english 101...not really trolling here i just applied because i thought it wouldn't hurt....should i decline the superday itself or should I try it out, and decline it later (assuming I get the offer?)...I'm not sure how to decline the offer/interview for HK then turn around and ask for an NY interview with a straight face...they might make me the next jeffrey chiang or vayner lol

I don't want to work at McDonald's...I didn't apply to work there.

Politely turn down the interview explaining that you have had a change of heart about working overseas and thank them for their time / wish them the best of luck in finding the best candidate they can.
