Advice on my plan????

Hey guys

wanted to hear your input and advise on my plan

currently working back office at a custodian bank looking to break into Front office with no luck... so i decided to go back to school, get my MFin and try this recruiting thing again hopefully... I won't be able to go back to school until next year fall (2011 fall), as application periods are over for most schools.

Should I quit my job and do more "meaningful" things while I wait for school to start? ie study and pass the CFA, volunteer work (for B school later on) etc...

Thinking about quitting work b/c my pay cannot keep up with the cost of living in the northeast. I would likely move back home (intl) and study there...also after I get my MFin, I don't want too much experience b/c i'll be in between a analyst and associate so employers might give me the ding. If i'm going in as an analyst after my MFin, might as well use this time more "wisely" pursuing other things that I can't post MFin or Post MBA. Currently have 1yr and 3 months of experience. Rather be a analyst and get paid for 1yr3 of experience, rather than the same position and pay for an analyst with 2+ yrs

Thoughts? Any advice/insight appreciated
