Meh they can be unreliable.

get yourself a 99.99% percentile score on a standardized test like a GMAT/GRE. Win a couple IMO medals or be an indian/chinese wonderkid in one of their hard tests.
 

Then you can have the luxury of being an insta hire. If you can't then, your gonna have to deal with the behaviourals and technical interviews like the rest of us champ

 

These companies are taking the piss man.  Making Ivy league grads go 6 figures into debt and then climb over each other for jobs.  May have to try and figure out an unconventional route instead.

 

Find a way to bypass recruiters any chance you get. Most of my recent interviews happen through that. They're literally the most brain dead people I've ever spoken to. Any phone screen that's longer than 15 minutes is also a huge red flag IMO. Many of the sucessful phone screens I had were ~10-12 minutes verifying my experience and telling me about the next steps (a formal 1st round interview). Had another recently that was 20-25 minutes with a recruiter through a referral and I don't think she even understood what her company does.
