Banks that consider seniors for SA

Hey all,

My Question: Do you know of any banks that are open to hiring graduating seniors for SA positions? MM or BB

It is my undersanding and experience that most do not, but I am trying to look at all my options.

If you like reading, quick background on myself:

I am a senior at a midwest non-target graduating in May. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and major in Finance and East Asian Languages (Korean). I spent a year and a half of my undergraduate career in South Korea and had a marketing and communications internship at the Esquire, Harper's Bazaar and Motor Trend publisher in Seoul this past summer.

A consequence of my time in South Korea and late switch to Finance (was orignally Physics and premed - volunteering taught me I did not want to be in a hospital all my life) is that I missed SA positions my junior year and was submitting applications for FT right on deadlines this year. Alumni have been doing their best to help but my lack of a SA and having started a little too late screwed me over.

That is why I am asking the above question.

Thank you to anyone who reads or comments!

Best,

Emerson

DWalk248: Well, I actually cannot PM you yet... So if you have a moment to share the names of the firms here I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks again,

DWalk248: I will send you a PM. I am not from Michigan, but if they don't mind people from Kansas, I would love to learn more about them.

I am considering delaying graduation. If I decide within the next month or two, I can add in an extra two semesters and get an Accounting or other B-school degree or maybe even finish up with a Physics major I had before switching.

So that's what I am thinking right now...

Anyone else have some advice/ know of any firms?

Thank you so much guys

Ok, thank you guys. DWalk248: I will check out those guys and yes - that is what I think I have decided I will do. I am applying/networking for SA positions like I will finish out my Physics degree and graduate a year later. If I do not get anything FT that I am interested in, I will just go ahead and pursue that for real.

ricottacheese: Thanks, that is what I am currently planning on doing. The hard part is turning down the jobs that I am getting - just none are banking related.

If anyone else has opinions, I would love to hear them.

Thanks!
