Anyone on here work in IB in Calgary?
I am currently trying to make a career change and would enjoy talking with someone about their path and experience with IB and how I can try and transition.
I graduated from a non-target last July and have been working in accounting for a large oil and gas firm for nearly a year and realizing accounting really isn’t for me. I figured my knowledge of oil and gas would help in this city.

If you have your CPA/Accounting background, Peters & Co
It’s all about networking. Small town, tight banking community. So you have to make a list of the bankers (linkedin helps, but there’s an excel list that gets updated yearly… I think the BMO guys are in charge of it). THen you cold email and get them out to coffees.
Your best bet will be boutiques, from there you can progress to big banks if you want.
Any chance you know where to get that list?
