Career advice for recent grad - Graduated with a 3.8
I recently graduated in May with a BBA in finance from a non target school. My GPA was 3.8/4.0 but I have no finance related work experience. I am looking for some advice on a career path. I want to do something in the investment banking/ Asset Management area. I am trying to avoid operations and back office jobs. What should be my course of action?
If you "recently" graduated in May, you should be praying for a back office job. Everyone starts somewhere, work hard and you will get where you want to be.
By "work hard," I mean make friends with the analysts and associates in the groups you would want to work in
Stick to sports mike.
But in all seriousness, as the above poster pointed out did you typo and mean to say about to graduate in may or have you really just now decided that you want a Finance job after graduating with a Finance degree?
What have you been doing for the past year?
Get a job. Any job. Employers like to hire the employed.
