Career change: from consulting to .... ?
Hello everyone!
I hope to find some help in here, as I am taking a bit of time off to think about what to do next.
I am a statistician (master’s degree in statistics) and used to work on risk management consulting for banking clients for 5 years. Though I really enjoyed working on that, I’m looking for something different now, a more “meaningful” position. By meaningful I mean more “socially responsible”, something more of public interest, in a way that’s different from what I’ve seen in banking.
I have expertise in statistics, finance (financial instruments, modelling…) and economic forecasting, and would not mind going to uni for another year to get another degree if it’s necessary.
I can only think of private equity in SRI, or working on a regulatory body (FCA, ECB…) ☹
Does someone have suggestions? Had gone through the same?
Many thanks!
Mona
