Career change to finance/wall street

Need some really solid advice from WSO on this one

I’m 26 yrs old and a recent graduate from F.I.T in production management. Just realized that my true passion in life is investing/being an investor though. Investing consumes a good portion of my life already in terms of what I pay attention too and give my time and energy too. I’m thinking about doing a masters in finance at Baruch and applying for internships to try to get into Wall Street or at least somewhere around financial markets. I don’t really care about the money I just want to have a career as an investor. I already spend my FREE TIME trying to build out a DCF for a business in my personal portfolio to see if I should buy it or not. Trying value the business, combing through their 10k to make sure I understand it and all that good stuff.

How does all of this sound? Will my previous degree be a problem? Does getting a masters in finance give me a good shot? I know Baruch is a non target school as well. IB is not really on the front of my mind in terms of where I want start out at. If there is any other great career alternative to IB within Wall Street, I would love to hear about that. I’m willing to work my way up from anywhere though
