In all seriousness, go with the suit, you can't go wrong.

Suit with no tie/top button. You hedge against both extremes - looking like a slob and looking too formal (since you are a student and it is a coffee meeting). That's my take.

and i think if i wear a suit ill set a different tone to the meeting, rather than an informal meeting/convo where it can be more personal rather than interviewesque
