Commercial Banking Credit Analyst vs. Corporate Banking Counter-party Credit Analyst

Hello all,

Currently work as a credit analyst for a large regional bank (PNC, Key, etc.) in the middle market space. Have the opportunity to potentially move to a much larger bank and in the city I would like to be in. However, I often here counter-party credit is considered MO. So, if offered this position, would this be a step backwards from where I am now? Or is the move to corporate banking (from commercial) with a much larger firm and in the city I want to work in the correct move? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
