Competing Offer Email

Is there any way that telling Company A that I finished final round with that I have an offer from Company B, but much prefer Company A due to the team culture and range of industry exposure/ interesting challenges, would hurt me? I just want to email A and ask for an update on timeline given my offer. It's been a week since the interview but I thought I did really well on it. Let me know y'all's thoughts bc the anticipation from Company A is killing me.

I think you most definitely can frame it in a way where you thank them for being a part of the interview and are very interested in a career at Company A, however, you have a competing offer from another company but still rank Company A higher due to factors above. Then, ask if they have any further information regarding your candidacy.
