Contract Breaking: 2 Jobs at Once?

Question for those in the know,

I currently have a pretty sweet work from home gig (on target earnings = $250k per year). Occasionally I have to travel and attend conferences, visit customers, etc., but I only have to "work" 20 hours a week on average.

I could easily work a 2nd job like this one.

Which brings me here: What would happen if I worked another job concurrently? Obviously my current contract states that I can't have another job, but I'm wondering how would they know? What would happen if they found out (aside from being fired)?

Assume two companies DO NOT compete in any way, shape, or form. In fact, they could complement one another...

Thoughts?

Take a look at your employment agreement/contract, I would guess it does not say "employee cannot have another job." My EA says that I cannot provide any service that is already provided by my company. It also says I have to disclose any side hustle.

What do you do? Show me a three months of pay stubs and I will quit my job and work for you. I am dead serious

How would they find out? You need to ask yourself that. And assuming they did find out, are you ok with your cake job being taken from you?

That's literally the question I'm asking: how would they find out? Assuming I wasn't blatantly caught red headed with something like a different business card, how could they find out?

Would they know come tax season (i.e. does their payroll department get some overall view of my earnings)? Would benefits providers snitch me out? What about 401k programs? Any ideas?

Because even if I had to up my hours to 60 per week, with a bit of luck I could average 500k (some years would be less, but some could be considerably more) for a few years and then working for The Man becomes optional.

I mean assuming it was two different gigs and you didn't put it on linkedin and didn't endlessly brag to everyone, the probably would not find out. I mean what if you taught yoga and got paid in your free time? Lot of companies have rules against outside employment, but it really only gets enforced if you are using their systems for your benefit or not doing your work.

You'd have to decline health insurance, 401K, etc from the other employer. Which could be plausible. Just say you're covered with your wife or whatever you want to say.

Taxes, I doubt it. Plenty of people have PT job. You'd work, they'd send you a W2, you put it in Turbo and you are good.
