You already heard for the CS IBD SA superday?
yes, I believe they had another Superday earlier as well, mine will be next week.
My friend just had one (nontarget) and sait it was relatively straightforward. No brainteasers or anything like that, medium technicals, and mainly focused on past accomplishments/leadership experiences.

When you say medium technicals, what kind of questions do you mean?
In other words, I would consider an easy question something easy to prepare like "walk me through a DCF," but a medium question more situational where you have to think on your feet. So something like "company A is trading at these two multiples, and company B is trading at these two multiples, so what could be driving this difference?" Or something like interpreting a stock price movement after a corporate event that may not be what you expect. Nothing hard, but not a simple definition.

So...I'm a non-target (I go to an Ivy, but CS doesn't recruit here). I have a ton of "ins" at the firm through high-up MD's. Submitted my application a couple of weeks ago, haven't heard anything. Status is "application received." Have I been dinged? It seems a little early in the process for superdays...?
I suggest you email your contacts and let them know that you've submitted your application. OCR & Superdays for my school will take place in late January / early February.

My experience is that it's hard to generalize about interviews (some firms you can), but if I remember correctly when I interviewed with CS for SA last year, it was almost 100% fit...

Does anyone know what a CS superday looks like? All I know is that I have four 30 minute interviews, but I'm not sure whether it would be a mix of fit/tech, or whether I'd get a lot of tech (I had a soph internship).

You'll probably get a mix of technical / fit... my experience with interviews are that the analysts/associates tend to be more technical oriented and the VPs/MDs tend to be more fit oriented, but it totally depends on the person...
Like the people above said you can expect a mix of technical, background and fit.
As a tip for summer analyst interviewing: the best selling points you can make are that (1) you're willing to do whatever it takes during your internship to support the full-time analysts & associates (the ANL and ASC interviewers will particularly like you for this) and (2) you're pursuing this internship for a full-time opportunity next year (full-time recruiting is much harder on the banks b/c they have to make a 2+ year commitment but can't be sure what they're getting in return -- it's much more appealing to sign up their intern classes for the full-time jobs).

how did you guys get superdays already? Our applications aren't even due...
I tend to not believe a lot of people on here that say they have offers and superdays by mid to late december/first week of jan. Most of them just BS for whatever reason
Expect to be tested technically, even for SA, I was shocked when I interviewed with them last year. Advice: don't pretend to know more than you do, anwer what you can, and answer it well. They're looking for bright people that are good fit for the firm, so second above on being adamant about parlaying SA into FT. Show you're looking to learn, and be able to explain really well why CS vs. other places, and most importantly why IBD.
