Current management holding me back from promotion!

Hi all,

Haven't posted something in a while, but wanted to get your opinion on my situation.

I am currently part of a finance development program in a tertiary location (think BO finance/ops), I have been a top performer since i joined the team 2 1/2 years ago (SA - Senior Year - FT). Im originally from NY so I've always made it clear to my management that I always intended to move back up and even got the green light to interview around and test the waters. Fast forward two months later i have a handful of offers but my management team is holding me back saying "im too crucial to the team to let me leave right now, maybe by year end". I had one manager in a MO role I got accepted to rescind his over because they wanted to fill the spot immediately and fear that the rest of my offers might go away too. The team is doing a lot to keep me, i.e. sending me to east asia for 2 weeks, got me a new laptop, etc but i really just want to get going with my career.

What advise would guys give this monkey?!

thanks
