Diversity Questions as a Non-Diverse Candidate

I am a straight, cisgender, White male with no beneficial forms of diversity when it comes to applications. I also come from a privileged background - both of my parents have a master's degree/doctorate.

Every application I submit has voluntary disclosures/self-identification section(s) at the end. Would I be better off selecting prefer not to answer or no on diversity questions (e.g., sexuality, disability, gender, etc.)? I technically have a minor learning disability. Would I be better off saying yes or prefer not to answer to the disability question? Sexuality is very fluid, and, technically, you don't know until you try, so would it be fair to mark myself as something other than straight? Or should I say prefer not to answer or that I am straight?

Also a straight white male and I just plan on being honest man. I think diversity recruiting is wrong but taking advantage of the same flawed system by lying doesn’t sit well with me. Maybe I have a weird moral compass but whatever.

I started checking off minority races “by mistake” and I saw my application rate go from 10% to >80% on getting an initial interview. I was ready to say I must have made a mistake but no one directly asked. Didn’t ever get a second interview of course. But at this point hiring practices are a woke joke and I wasn’t going to get it anyway. But was curious for myself just how prevalent DEI is.
