Do I have a shot at M&A?

Current student at Indiana University majoring in Finance and Accounting with a 3.72 GPA. I transferred here last year with a 3.57 GPA from a community college which I attended for 2 years. I've had 2 accounting internships in a small company (90 employees) which aren't too significant and I tutor 2 excel classes. I'm also currently enrolled in an online webinar sponsored by Merrill Lynch to learn more about investment banking which will hopefully help me standout.

I have my doubts because I'm not a traditional 4 year student and believe IB's will frown down upon having a CC on my resume. I've also heard that IB's like to know students ACT/SAT scores (can someone verify this) which worries me because I didn't take these exams seriously considering I was planning on going to CC in order to save money. I also took my micro/macro econ classes and a calculus course at CC, but I'm not sure how significant this is.

Do I have a realistic chance of breaking into investment banking with my background? It's also relevant to mention that I'm a minority. Any advice?

Don't mention your CC in the resume, and no one gives a damn about ACT/SAT scores.Being a minority is an advantage though and banks LOVE diversity.

Agree with what name of profit said, all that matters is the GPA from where you will be receiving your degree. Honestly you probably won't get into IBD M&A because you have one of the most generic/boring backgrounds possible. I assume you're considered a senior this year (2 years cc + transferred last year) which means it's too late to be doing extracurriculars or doing some kind of outside the box idea. Obviously don't give up, just make sure you apply to all the normal gigs that you have an actual shot in.

I graduate in fall 2016 so I still have some time. I'm also involved in some diversity clubs/organizations. What do you suggest I do to not seem so generic?
