Do I need to get a master before working in IB in London or Paris?

My bachelor is ESCP's bsc in management.  I want to get an internship this summer. Definitely one next summer. And hopefully do "alternance" the third year, this is where you work half the week and study the other half.

I know in UK it is possible but I've mainly seen from school like LSE, Warwick, etc... I've seen good and bad things about the ESCP bachelor so I don't really know where it stands.

In France I believe it is the norm to pursue a master but I don't know if this applies to IB?

Generally you'd need a recognized master's in France (HEC/ESSEC/ESCP or X/Centrale). Breaking into IB as a bachelor's is doable, but recruitment quality can get so stringent that you'd pretty much be competitive for Master's anyway.

Seen a guy break into credit analysis (MO), then leveraged before taking a Master's though. It's not the rule however. Seen kids do an alternance in audit for their bachelor's.
