Does call about fall recruitment from Bank of American mean anything?

For some background info I go to a Target school but I major in Economics which is not part of our Business school and I don't have a particularly stellar GPA. I got an email a few weeks ago from Baml about registering with their on campus recruitment and what areas of business I am interested in, I also had to submit my resume to complete my registration.

Earlier today I got an email from an Associated of Corporate Banking at Baml requesting a phone call to go over my background and give some information on recruitment season. I was wondering if other people got this email and if it means anything in particular. Do they call every single person that registers for recruitment or did they like my resume and actually somewhat interested in me as a candidate?

I would say be ready for anything. Once I got an invite for a phone call about background and recruiting process and it was a full phone screen. No loss if it's just informational

what group is this for? On their career site it seems like the only FT IB positions that are being offered aren't in the U.S.
