Does the Networking Ever Stop?
I am a sophomore here from a non-target school, just landed my SA2026 offer at an EB think LAZ, GUGG, PWP, ROTH, MOE. I am not sure if I want to re-recruit for bulge brackets FT roles, but I was just curious if it is "weird" to continue networking with bankers I have not spoken with before just to learn more about the industry and their experiences.

Not really. Somehow networking is more important than the job itself
Absolutely – internal politics and networking (whether within the company or the industry) are by far the most crucial factors for career success.
nope, even when you're employed full time you'll still need to network to find the exit opps that interest you.
Congrats on Rothschild and Gugg!
hijacking this thread to ask when would you network for ft recruitment? would it be spring 2026 and then picking it up again second half of sa 2026?
Just signed at a top BB (GS/KeyBanc/MS) and feeling the same.
Congrats on Lazard!
Dude sneaked in KeyBanc between GS and MS lmao
Congrats on finding the joke!
No, IB is a sales job. Even PE requires sales just to investors not clients. It's all a sales job, and sales jobs require networking/relationship building.
