Dropping out of grad scheme due to more preferable offer

I’m lucky enough to be in a position where I have two grad scheme offers.  One as a trader at an investment bank, and one in technology at an asset manager.  They both start around the same date in about 2/3 weeks time.  I have signed the technology grad scheme offer since I got the offer over a year ago, but haven’t been sent a written contract for the trader offer.

My preferred option is the trader role, and this is what I plan to do.  I need to tell the tech grad scheme company that I will be dropping out, but want to wait until the paperwork has come through for the trader role before letting the tech company know.

Am I best to wait until I have a written contract from the trader role?  How late can I let the tech role company know that I will be dropping out?  Should I say anything to the trader company to try and get them to speed up sending over the written contract?

Thanks very much for you help
