Ebonics on resume?
Hey! if you have taken several Ebonics classes(3 to be exact) so you understand the language and culture perfectly, should you list it on your resume?
Also, if I'm applying to places around Ebonic speaking neighborhoods(think chicago, new york, detroit, indianpolisest etc) should I just write my resume in Ebonics?
ty
it is probably acceptable...you will have more of a connection with the people reading your resume
Haha Blastoise!
Haha. I actually knew this guy in college. He was Japanese (actually from Osaka), and pissed off some recruiter for an I-Bank (I think) with the following conversation.
Recruiter: "Wow your English is amazing! And you speak Chinese as well. I've always wanted to be multi-lingual."
Him: "Well I think you are. I mean your English is quite good, and you speak Ebonics too!"
No joke on that one ... Poor guy didn't get an interview. He was a good kid.
I would definitely ask an interviewee about it if I saw ebonics on a resume

I'd say nah. Only reason to put it on there is prolly if you want to position yourself as 'international' in outlook..although that won't really fly. Just leave it on your transcript man.
Good job, Blastoise! Looks like you got yourself a bite of juicy, virgin, untrolled e-flesh :)
