Fall Internship at a Boutique?

Hi all, I'm a rising junior majoring in both finance and economics at a non-target in the NJ/NY area with a 3.77 GPA. I'm kinda late to the IB game (started networking this month and am targeting banks that haven't started the SA recruiting process yet). I wanted to know what should I do to potentially get a fall analyst gig at a boutique investment bank for the fall? Aside from my summer internship in PE, going over the guides, taking the SIE in July, and networking, I am also aiming to complete Wall Street Prep's Premium Financial Modeling Package to add onto my resume. Will this make me more recruitable? How should I approach boutiques around my area and when should I do it?Thanks!

Was a carbon copy of your situation, did a fall boutique IB and it def helped me get a FT role. For this, don’t be afraid to look outside well known name shops.

You have to look on your school job site, or straight up google and heavily rely on networking. Once you find a list of shops look on LinkedIn for their previous interns or analysts and have them push your resume. Most of these places won’t even post about their internships so networking is huge.

Good luck bro

For timing, probably network now until late July, interview in August but depends on how small the shop is… they might just interview you and ask you to start in a week or two
