Fall internship program question

Hey guys,

My school has a program where you attend two classes on one day (which double-count and are pretty much guaranteed A's, so basically you get the normal amount of credits for a semester and 4 A's) - things like talking about issues surrounding the workplace, etc. The other four days, you're out working. However, since you're still getting the four credits for the semester, you have to pay regular tuition.

I'm a current sophomore who is working at a very small boutique investment bank/private equity firm this summer, and is going to try for BB IBD next summer. I would do this program in the fall, and pretty much all of the opportunities are BB PWM or AM. I'm just wondering whether it's worth it to pay a full tuition for 4 A's and the BB PWM internship, assuming it doesn't delay my graduation or anything like that in the long run. Will a PWM internship at a company like MS or Merrill Lynch add enough to my resume to make it worth it?

Thanks in advance.

So let me get this straight.

You get 4 guaranteed As. You get to do a PWM internship

So, if you didn't do this program, what would happen? You'd have to take regular non gauranteed A classes and not do an internship and also pay full tuition.

This sounds perfect, what school do you go to?

Let me expand - essentially if I do this program, I'll graduate on time . If I don't do this program, I can graduate a semester early and save a lot of money. My parents aren't fans of the whole "paying full tuition so I get a name on my resume" thing, and I was wondering if it would be a big enough deal going into next summer to be worth not graduating early.

1) you should under no circumstance graduate from college early. see the following link: http://www.broslikethissite.com/2010/05/118-hating-graduation.html

2) from what you have described, you should absolutely do the program. the amount of money your tuition costs pales in comparison to the difference in earnings you will see if you land an IB job vs. some shitty corp finance or ops position. to loosely quote boiler room, your parents might talk shit to you, but see what they say when you're making their fucking lexus payments
