Felony will be expunged in 2 years what to do in the main time?
Hey, guys, I need some advice from anyone with experience in the industry. Any would be appreciated. I recently graduated with a finance degree at the same time got sentenced to probation for my stupid actions during freshman year of college. Long story short it will be expunged in two years.
What are my options right now or what would you do in my situation if you can't find full-time employment due to background checks and having to show up to court for probation every Monday. Is there anything useful to do to gain experience?
Should I go for an MBA at a Columbia or NYU? or should I just give up on finance/banking career and maybe get a graduates degree in quant/coding?
Thanks again for taking the time!
I would learn to code and probably get a graduate degree if I had two years to burn and couldn't have a job.
Alternatively I would join the peace corps for 2 years if your family was wealthy af.
Can we get a story?
what on the felony? haha
Yeah give us the story at least
It involves lots of drugs lots of sex and robberies. Now let me get some advice
Publish a bestseller documenting your escapades in detail.
ama?
I would be down but I don’t think it’ll really help anyone except helping them on what not to do haha
Sounds like I should be asking advice...congrats on the sex btw
it's not that interesting. And I'll never get a job after that's published haha
you can release it under a pseudonym. figure out what @theaccountingmajor's real name is and release it under that name
Dude you're the blogging intern and you can't figure out how to @ me properly?
@AndyLouis" what kind of clowns are you hiring?
Whatever you end up doing, I'd recommend in your free time to workout and read a lot.
Ya i trade equities now myself. Been lazy haven't worked out much
Chill for a year and then get an MSF. By the time you graduate, you'll be clear.
I don't have banking experience I read online that its weird to get MSF/MBA and have no experience is that true?
Sometimes but what's your other option?
1) Find a better lawyer. There are legal workarounds to this, trust me. 2) Offer to work on contract free of charge with the prospect of an eventual full-time transition. 3) Brokers broker and network your tail off. 4) Fintech startup.
If you have the resources, option 1 is worth pursuing aggressively. Best of luck.
Forgot to mention - look into foreign-funded US-domiciled crypto/blockchain startups.
