First IB Internship.. Now what?

So, after extensive efforts throughout my Undergrad years as a non-target I managed to secure an M&A analyst internship with a regional boutique. I'm set to graduate December of this year and per my discussions with the MD that brought me on I should be able to carry on in the role for around 6 months.

The deal flow the firm sees isn't sufficient for anyone to get a return offer, so I'm left wondering how I should prime myself for full-time recruiting after graduation. I'm well aware the hiring environment is rough so I'd like to make the most of my downtime.
