houseofcardsWhat makes you say that, IP? I've taken a couple of these tests and have never seen "trader" as one of the INTJ careers.
Trader is so specialized that it's probably not going to come up under any category.

Bottom line is that the best personality type for a trader is a rationalist (NT) who can be decisive (J). The most profitable traders I know are INTJs. The "I" simply means that you pause to think things over a little more before you act. ENTJs do well, too. Same with, though to a lesser extent, ISTJs/ESTJs.

I'm ISTP apparently. So the description says "This personality type has the fastest eye-hand coordination of all the types so it is common to see them using this skill. They may use their analytical skills to become a banker, purchasing agent, or securities analyst."

I did the test at Flow traders in Amsterdam like 2 months ago. It were 3 x 25 numerical questions 25 easy questions like 200-92 25 hard decimals questions 25 large number questions.

You had 10 minutes.

I also made a intelligence test, but is not so easy to explain what content was.

i practiced a lot on calculationrankings.co, there you can train with time pressure and have some tests where the decimal questions resemble the questions of the numerical test of Flow.

Hi Chip, did you get to work with Flow Traders? I'm currently applying for them now in their Singapore office. How long did it take you to prepare for their exam?

Hi Chip, although it is difficult to explain the content of VIT test, could you give an example or a website that I can exercise? Thank you soooooo much!

Hey pal,

If you have gone through the test, would you mind sharing some info about it? What do they allow you to use (pen and paper?)? What types of questions did you get? etc.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

It's pretty simple. The IQ test has questions from 4 topics :- 1. Sequence and Series:- You've to have a knack for numbers , it's a bit difficult if you're not very good in this area. 2. Calculations :- Basic calculations , don't let the big numbers bog you down , they generally cancel down into simple answers. 3. Syllogisms :- Eg. Left handed are Smart. Smart people like trading. then you'll have 4 options . I hope you get what i am trying to convey. 4. Analogies :- School is to Fish _____ is to owls . Pretty straightforward stuff.

There were total of 68 ques in 30 min for IQ test. All in all it's not that tough. 4 of us sat for it , all of us cleared it. Tip:- Don't get stuck on one question. It's fine to leave it for now. For the Personality test just be yourself and try to be as consistent as possible with your answers. There are 192 questions in 30 mins. All The Best !! :)
