FT netowrking advice after no offer from internship

For background I did an IB internshop at a well known bank this summer but failed to get a return offer. When I was recruiting for my junior year internship I picked the IB internship offer over the PE internship process I was in. At that time these two were the options I was considering. For the PE internship, I got to superday but ending up just taking the IB offer. Now that I am done with my IB internship and dont have an offer I’m starting to apply back and reaching out to people again. Im wondering if it would be fine to reach back that PE firm in my city since thats the only generalist PE fund and aligns with my interests but the only thing is that I left their process last year despite since im interested in the first round. Need advice on this
