FT offer - Delaying graduation to finish a minor

I’m in a process for FT 2025 investment banking role scheduled to graduate in May. I also have 3/6 courses completed to finish a minor but if I completed it I wouldn’t graduate during the May graduation cycle.

I would finish all my courses and be “technically” graduated by late July with the minor. But wouldn’t get my official diploma till November (next ceremony date).

What would happen? Could I start in August with a letter from my registrar noting I’ve completed the requirements to graduate?

One follow up I really appreciate the help. What do you mean they don’t check much? I assume they’d want a formal copy of my transcript and diploma?

And what about asking for a delayed start date after receiving an offer? Does that ever work for people who won’t graduate on time?

Again, thanks a ton for the help!

They check things like criminal record, GPA ties to what you said, graduated with the degree you said you did. Simple background check, but you can't have not graduated yet and expect that to be okay

There are no delayed start dates. Everyone starts on the same day. If you can't graduate on time, your offer will be pulled

This is such a silly thing to be figuring out for a minor - drop the minor yesterday.

Super appreciative for the help! What about delaying because of an extra required course (down an elective). So same scenario but I wouldn’t have a choice.

Any chance for a delayed start date?

Thanks again
