GS FIG v. GS CRG v. HL RX v. EVR M&A

Hi everyone,

I'll be at one of these groups this summer and am considering recruiting for full-time. I've been networking and have pretty strong connections at all the above and am interested in mostly the exit opportunities for these different groups. Would appreciate any insight regarding recent placement and culture as well. Thank you guys!

The only group it would make sense to go through the (grueling) re-recruiting process for would be HL RX. Not because it is a bad group, but just because the HL brand name is less well known than GS or EVR - if brand is your focus.

If you're at GS FIG or CRG and want the other, internal transfers are (relatively) easy if you're a top performer. Why would you want to transfer if you've already built up a strong rapport, though? If you want GS -> EVR or HL, there is probably a negligible, if not negative, benefit to that move.

If you're at EVR, the only reasons to leave would be culture or some obsession w/ the GS name.
