have you ever gotten rejected by postal mail?
I interviewed for a position and I received a typed rejection letter sent to my address with the hiring manager's hand signature. It basically said nothing different from the canned rejection email that you get but this was a first for me. I know I bombed the interview so I already knew what it would say but I guess it's better than getting no response.
I had no idea companies do that. Was it a boutique?
This is a first out of hundreds of interviews I've had in the past. It's a firm with global offices but still relatively unknown to those outside the industry.
But it's IB? Or what does the firm exactly specialize in?
I just had that happened to me a couple months ago. They must have either known they weren't going forward with me before I even arrive, or next day everything because I got a letter from them in 2 days.
This is a very large mutual fund company. more than 100 billion AUM.
