Help-feeling lost

I am currently working in an operations/mo role at a large bb bank. I took the job as a way in the door and surprisingly do enjoy it at times, although the work can be very monotonous. I am looking to move into PWM but struggling to get interviews and I can feel myself being pushed down this ops/mo route which is not what I want. I am doing my IMC (self funded) this quarter - would IAD be more beneficial? I have only been working for 18 months in this role (joined after university), but I am cautious of how much time I spend in it.
I would appreciate any advice that you might have and what you would do in my situation.
Thanks
