Help needed for next steps
Hey Everyone,
I'm a rising junior at a Target Ivy (Think Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown) and struck out during IB recruiting. I had a lower GPA in the winter (3.4) and wasn't really able to get into any processes + didn't network enough. I improved in the spring to a 3.5 and had a superday but did not get the offer after two weeks of waiting. I was pretty upset about this and did poorly on my finals, which has brought my GPA back down to a 3.4. I'm really struggling to figure out what to do and what the next steps will be - pivoting to consulting seems really difficult and I genuinely do want to do IB/PE/VC and finance in general. Would really love to hear any advice that you guys have. Much appreciated.

You’re at an Ivy League school. Gpa isn’t an issue if good networking gets you through the first screen. Focus on creating good connections and having a story, banks understand that rutgers and Ivy League students aren’t going to have the same gpa. Don’t tweak. Also if u had superday and didn’t convert ur technicals aren’t there. Make sure that if u get one opportunity that you can convert especially in this market
