How many is too many internships
So recently I have been connecting with old friends and classmates on Linkedin, and I've noticed that some of the people I know have an absurd number of internships throughout their time in university, and even before then. I even saw one profile with more than 10 internships at different companies!
While too much is definitely better than too little experience, when do you think the threshold is between strongly qualified, to useless CV padding?
I'm not sure - but I would think that 10 internships is nuts and that you wouldn't have the time for anything else, unless you consider doing some remote work unpaid for a small firm somewhere once every few months or so on an ad hoc basis and calling it an internship. It's great to have a variety of work experiences, but at 21 I would just assume you haven't done too much of anything anywhere. Especially since interns usually don't do much anyway.
