How much technicals is needed?

I'm a first year at a London Target (equiv of a freshman ig but treated as a sophomore) trying to recruit for SA IBD/Markets division at a BB/EB/ firm preferably. I have the 7 or 8 guides from BIWS and the 400 M&I questions. Would revising all of these be sufficient?

Or would additional material such as the IB Interview guide/ financial institutions modelling/ financial modelling fundamentals of BIWS be required too?

Have also decided to prepare behavioural for HVs but since there is no super day here, I've mainly decided to prep OT instead.

Let me know your thoughts.

Most places won’t really ask you on technicals. If you’re a fresher shouldn’t you be applying to springs instead?

You mean you're working towards SA2023 applications?

If so, I would focus on finding something finance/banking-related for this summer first. It would put you ahead for SA applications for the following cycle.

For BBs at least and based on my experience, the goal of technical interviews isn't for you to be able to list every corporate finance formula under the sun, but showcase that you have a "big picture" understanding of the markets and a good knowledge of some specific industries, their dynamics, drivers and recent news.
