I hate investment banking, what should I do?

I’m approaching 2 years into the job and I realized it is not for me. I don’t necessarily like high finance and what my work entails nor do I like the uptight culture (maybe that’s a firm-specific thing). Not hating on the career, just not for me.

I don’t see myself pursuing a career in either sellside or buyside roles and would much rather find a decent paying 9-5 with better work life balance (not sure if it’s a case of the grass being greener or not).

Any insights into what might be some other roles to pursue early on in my career. Heard tech sales and project management were better with regards to WLB.

Those who jumped ship from sell side to non high finance positions, what did you end up doing and how did you make the jump. Would appreciate any insights thank you:)

If you like finance just not the intensity of high finance, I'd look into working in finance at a tech company. If you don't like finance but you like business, look into corp dev. If your not sure but your willing to pay for an MBA, do that and it will open many doors for you including consulting, project management, and other high paying careers with decent wlb.
