I think I F'ed Up

I worked at a sell side M&A boutique bank as an analyst making decent comp considering the area. I quit after about 2 years because it was extremely sweaty and I just wanted more out of life.

I began working as a financial advisor and have made almost no money. I failed to realize this is essentially a sales role with comp almost completely dependent on commissions and I suck at prospecting. I find myself missing the analytical side of things as well as the fast-paced culture of IB

Am I fucked? If I try to recruit for IB I'll land AN2 at best and I'm not sure I'm really willing to go that route. I'm in a Tier 3 city so it's not like high finance roles are everywhere especially in this job market. Has anyone gone through something similar or perhaps can offer some advice?

Going that long without stable income isn't totally viable at the moment. Plus I'm not thrilled by the idea of taking on student debt.

Just curious - if you worked as an analyst, why did you select "Associate" on your profile?

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Idk why it says Associate I've tried to fix it and it won't update. I've never been an Associate.
