Inter-dealer-broker math skills
I am still in school but I am interested in working as an inter-dealer-broker for a company such as GFI. I am not a math or finance major and I am wondering what type of math I should know to get the job/know for the job. Is it true working as an inter-dealer-broker is more math intensive than other types of brokering? Will I succeed at this job if I am not a math wiz? I would appreciate any input as to the appropriate math base I should have as well as input to the extent that the job involves serious math rather than people skills.
no, there is no high level math needed for an IDB job. you're essentially a salesman, and your best skills should be entertaining clients and getting people to put their trades through you. you will most definitely not need high level math..
Second the above.
