Internship after senior year

Hello everybody, I am trying to decide my next course of action. I am a junior looking to break into IB I have a 3.7 GPA and am majoring in accounting and business analytics. I currently have an audit internship for summer 2024 but don't have any other internship experience. I read that it's pretty rare for juniors/seniors to get internships in IB. What should be my next steps to try to get a 2025 internship? Should I just start applying, focus on networking rn, try to get a job in corp fin instead, and make the transfer later if interested? Any advice is appreciated

Change your graduation date (you can add a major or just take less classes) if you are serious about it. Start networking and applying for SA 2025 now as it has already started. Recruiting only gets harder as you get older ie. SA is easier than FT is easier than lateral. You will likely have more experience than the current sophomore class applying and if you have your technicals down will have a better shot at landing an SA than trying to recruit FT after audit SA (most FT hires are SA from other banks as far as I am aware). I have seen this work multiple times for older students at my non-target.
