Interview Question - Did you have to work hard at school?
I've had this question in back to back interviews now... "Did school come easy to you or did you have to work hard, you can't be in the middle?" If you say it's easy, then your school didn't have a rigorous enough b-school (Non-Target Big Ten), say you worked your ass off, then your a try hard idiot. What would you choose?
Tell them it came easy, and give them legitimate reasons why imo
I started trading in high school and did a lot of reading on my own, so it pretty much translated into me not having to study at all. Just go to class and you're set
What kind of question is that anyway? "You can't be in the middle"?
Say it was easy
I'd probably just be genuine and tell them I had to work my ass off; would probably include my stance of lack of effort in my earlier years.
lol at people above.. i cant see how saying that something was easy would make you look smart, it a douchey move imo
i would say that it was hard and it is not a bs because it really was if you want to be top class.. dont know about schools in US, but in EU some schools are very hard language barrier was also pain in the ass (my case)
"Took the class material and looked into additional topics or tried to gain a deeper understanding of them than what was presented in class, which is why the exams or projects ultimately resembled less of a challenge." - which is actually what I did when moving to a "non-target" US school for a second master's, where I got bored save for the occasional sheer workload...
"I'm fuckin' smart."
