Is it Even Possible?

I’m a sophomore and traditional student currently attending a California CC aiming to transfer to Berkeley Haas. My transfer profile makes my chances of getting in almost guaranteed, so now I’m thinking of what to do post transfer to not fall behind.

I worked full time as an Accounting Administrative Assistant for a bit under a year and was promoted to a full time Accounts Payable rep in the accounting department of an HOA management company. This was all while I was in CC.

I have no finance related internships (because who gets one of those from CC), and I already know that EB and BB are basically out the window already because of that. Depending on when recruiting starts I might even miss that too.

I cross enrolled at UC Berkeley (took an econ and accounting course) during my CC time and technically have a 4.0 GPA there already. I also have a 4.0 from CC too.

I have deep connections at BB IB’s and multiple partner level connections at Big 4, and my main question is what junior summer internships upon transfer (assuming I master interview prep) would realistically be attainable to me due to the tight timeline and lack of previous internships? Is it possible to get in to some MM firms, and is there anything I can do to somehow make it into BB or EB?

Most straightforward way would be to transfer to Berkeley and then delay grad by a semester so you can recruit for SA. Try to find a boutique IB or LMM internship for this summer (it seems like you are well-connected, so something like this shouldn't be too difficult).

Not really possible for you to get something BB/EB/top MM for SA 2027 given that you'll still be at a CC during the recruiting timelines, and by the time you enroll at Berkeley everything is pretty much done.
